Update on Hoosier Land

You may not know this but I am a Hoosier by birth. I was born in the thriving metropolis of Richmond, Indiana. At the time my parents lived in Ohio but the closest hospital was in Indiana. Maybe that’s why I have such a special place in my heart for our new campus!

I am just so pumped about what is taking place across the river at our Indiana Campus. Last weekend was their largest attendance, (excluding Easter) with 2,158 there to worship. They got to hear “live preaching” from their Campus Pastor, Rusty Russell.  I heard so many great comments about his sermon!  Thanks Rusty for an awesome job AND for letting me use some of your thoughts in my sermon.

If you have never been and you’d like to visit and see how a multi-site campus works then swing by any Sunday at 9 or 11 a.m. The church is located right off of I-65 at Exit 4 to the East.

I’m looking forward to getting to preach there (in person!) this Sunday, October 11th. I can’t wait to worship with all of my fellow Hoosiers and to actually get to see your faces.

Be in prayer for our next campus in Oldham County. An architect has been working on some preliminary drawings and plans. It will take time but we want to make certain that we get it right. Pray for the OC Campus Pastor, Kurt Sauder, as he is prayerfully assembling his staff.
